Welcome to Engadine

Nature, culture, and events - at the highest level

Few holiday destinations offer such a wide array of diverse sports, cultural and recreational activities as the Upper Engadine around St. Moritz.

St. Moritz is one of the most renowned holiday resorts in the world. Its name is a protected quality brand and symbolizes style, elegance and class globally.

However, St. Moritz is more than just a vacation spot. It is the birthplace of alpine winter holidays (1864) and the venue for two Olympic Winter Games. Yet, St. Moritz owes its significance to its healing springs, known for 3,000 years, which early on established the town as a summer health resort.

Nestled right next to St. Moritz is Celerina - away from the hustle and bustle but still close to the action. In this sunny village with its typical Engadine houses, you have the perfect location to enjoy the Engadine's natural beauty in the summer, with an almost endless network of hiking trails and mountain biking options, along with the proximity to Lake Staz.

In the winter, the mountain railways leading to the world-famous Corviglia-Marguns ski area are just a stone's throw from the town center. Thanks to its central location in the Engadin St. Moritz holiday region, Celerina enjoys excellent public transportation connections.

Celerina and St. Moritz not only share the ski area but also the renowned Olympia Bob Run St. Moritz-Celerina and the Cresta Run (skeleton track). For over 100 years, both ice channels, starting in St. Moritz, have concluded in Celerina.
